Opal Loves: Top 5 Accessories

So, the paint is on the walls, the new furniture is here and now you are down to accessorizing your space. You can walk into a home decor store and easily get overwhelmed with the amount of items you can buy for a room. We would like to share our top 5 accessories when polishing off a room. Whenever we are preparing for an install we always make sure to stock up on these items.

1. Trays

Trays are a great way to give order to your space. We love putting trays in the bathroom to hold the soap, a small floral and some extra wash cloths. In the kitchen they are great for hand soap and the drain stopper. Trays are great in the bedroom on a nightstand to hold your alarm clock, a small floral and jewelry. They are also great in front of the TV to hold the remotes! Trays have so many uses...

2. Books

Books can add such a fun texture to a space and are a great way to mix in old with all the new. They can add height to a vase or a lamp, give dimension to a photo frame if you stack them underneath. They also look great on coffee tables and sofa consoles.

3. Vases

Vases are always so unique and add something interesting. They also come in various sizes which help us create very balanced surfaces. White is always a safe bet on vases if you are ever wondering what will match. They are crisp and clean and add a nice pop of white to the space.

4. Florals

Florals make your room feel alive! They add such a fresh feeling to a room. If you ever think your space is missing something, try adding a floral and it will be amazing the difference it will make. Small florals are great to set in trays in the bedroom and bathroom, larger florals are perfect in kitchens, dining rooms and living rooms.

5. Baskets

Last but not least we always have a basket or two to set in a living room or bedroom. These are great to store extra blankets in! They can also be fun for storage in a family room - a great way to hide all the toys.

So, what are your top 5 accessories? Do you have something that you love to put into your space? Photo frames? Candle Sticks? Decorative Boxes?
