As sad as it is I have only wrapped 3 gifts! There are 4 days until Christmas and I have a lot of wrapping and last minute shopping to get started on! I thought I would give a snapshot of what the gifts under the tree will be looking like this year.
Yesterday I took a little trip to Michaels and got three rolls of ribbon and some gold embellishments. I guess the advantage of waiting this long is the ribbon was 60% off. The little gold leaf embellishment was a whopping twenty cents! Can you guess what I used for wrapping paper? I bought some vintage wallpaper a while ago from the Thrift Store for $1 a roll. At the time I planned to line dresser drawers with the wallpaper, since then I have sold the dresser and changed the plan. So I had this paper in excess. I know its not the traditional Christmas colors, but I think I like it even more for that reason. I love the wintery feel the blue and gold have.
Do you have any tricks to wrapping presents? My mom sewed Christmas bags for some of the presents so she could just wrap the gift in tissue, tie a bow and label the bag. This was a fun Christmas Tradition and we looked forward to seeing the same quaint Old Christmas Designed bags from year to year. We would love to hear about the fun traditions your family has!
Merry Christmas!
