Landscaping your yard can be a huge task. Especially if you don't know the right plants to get just the look you want. We are here to help, we took a preverbal walk through the mature, tree lined streets of Pinterest and picked out our favorite landscapes and plants that will go a long way to adding charm to any yard.

PERIMETER PLANTS

Transform your front walk or the edge of your property by edging it in easy-care plants like hosta and boxwood. This will soften hard edges by incorporating a gentle curve to the  edge of your yard.

VINE PLANTS

Clematis is one of our favorites for creeping up the side of an arbor or fence. It can tolerate most soil conditions, but the best part is that it not only grows tall, it grows wide- so coverage isn't an issue. It's beautiful flowers don't hurt either.

FLOWERING BUSHES

Low-maintenance hydrangeas make good foundation plants, with showy flowers that are easily seen even from a distance. But you may want to mix them with other shrubs if you don't like their bare fall and winter branches. Choose hydrangeas that won't outgrow your space and consider the exposure before you plant. Most hydrangeas like morning sun and afternoon shade in hot climates.

Peonies are spring bloomers, with lush foliage all summer long. They may even live longer than you do- some have been known to thrive for 100 years. The plants require little maintenance, the rules for success are simply full sun and well-drained soil. Peonies even relish cold winters, because they need chilling for bud formation.
