Design Details: Rustic Redefined

We are getting geared up to begin a new project. The project is scheduled to be rustic and Tuscan feeling. We have been doing some looking for design inspiration to help freshen things up and keep it feeling a little more light and fresh than dark.

As a starting point we have drawn inspiration from one of our design favorites, Phoebe Howard. We love the use of lighter tones in this space and dark to medium toned woods in small accents. The overall sophisticated feel is a refreshing approach.

Texture is what this space is all about. From the mantle to the sisal looking rug on the floor this space is interesting to be because of texture. This room is also a lighter feeling space with a good amount of small dark wood accents.

A little more masculine and cozy this den has a lot of pattern and texture that isn't too dark but has a richness all it's own. Isn't the fireplace amazing!?

And finally a room that has a lot of furniture that could be considered rustic, but is transformed just by selecting lighter toned fabrics.
